Jasper Learning Initiative Enrollment/Admission Process
Jasper can accommodate up to 100 9th grade students in the 2021-2022 school year. We will accept the applications on a rolling basis between January 13 and February 19, 2021.
JASPER APPLICATION 2021-2022
The application process will consist of a standard Google Form application to be filled out by the student with acknowledgement from a parent. There will also be a short interview scheduled in the following weeks after the electronic applications to get to know the students better after the applications have been reviewed.

Timeline of Scheduling/Events
January 5: Eyer Middle School
The Jasper Learning Initiative will be presented to all 8th grade students during the students’ science classes. Students indicate interest.
January 8: Lower Macungie Middle School
The Jasper Learning Initiative will be presented to all 8th grade students during the students’ science classes. Students indicate interest.
January 4-8
The 9th grade Program of Studies will be available electronically to students. On the back of the Program of Studies there is a Program of Studies Scheduling Worksheet to be completed by students and parents. Parents will be reminded by an E-News Alert.
January 13: Guidance Information Night and Jasper Virtual Open House
January 14: Jasper Virtual Open House, 4-5pm. Click here to register.

February 19
Jasper Applications are due electronically. If you apply and change your mind later, that's no problem, but we would like to have applications in by February 19.
February 22-26: Eyer and Lower Macungie Middle School
Emmaus High School counselors will meet with 8th graders over these dates to advise students on course selections for 2021-2022 school year. Counselors will provide guidance on scheduling process and teacher feedback on course placement. The focus is having students request 6.25-6.75 credits, learn about elective courses, and meet their counselors. Students will receive verification sheets to take home and discuss with parents.
March 1-5: Eyer and Lower Macungie Middle Schools
Course requests are entered into PowerSchool during the school day with assistance of middle school counselors. Middle school counselors will know which students are being accepted into Jasper for 2021-22.
