What will the Jasper schedule look like?
Emmaus High School runs an A/B block schedule. When compared to the schedule at Eyer and LMMS, there are 2 major differences:
- Block schedule means that the class periods are longer (about 80 minutes) and students will only have up to 4 classes each day.
- Instead of having your classes every day, they will happen every other day. Some of your classes will fall on A Days and the rest will fall on B Days. For example, you might have Science on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for about 80 minutes per class. You will not have it every day like you did in middle school.
Note: This is a sample schedule. Final schedules might be different than what is shown above.
Making Sense of the Sample Schedule
1. Courses are running on A Days or B Days, but not both. Students will have the same class every other day.
2. Light yellow courses are part of Jasper, but notice that there are definitely going to be non-Jasper courses in the schedule. These non-Jasper courses will include a Math class, Health A, Wellness/Fitness, and other electives.
3. Hornet Homeroom occurs for all EHS students between 2nd and 3rd blocks. Jasper students are in Hornet Homeroom together with other Jasper students.

Jasper students will follow the same bell schedule and will walk the same hallways, but there are differences in the educational experience that Jasper students will have while at Emmaus High School. These differences include:
- Courses that are part of the Jasper Learning Initiative will be taught in a project based manner. There are still opportunities for students to take their Math class and other electives in their schedule, but those courses will be taught in a traditional manner.
- Jasper students are taking Design & Development, which will meet their STEM graduation requirement. Design & Development is unique and only offered to students in Jasper.
